Christophe Girdal is one of our very first members. He joined our ServiceNow and ESM freelance collective in 2020. Since then, more than 50 other consultants have followed him. Learn about his profile through this interview:

Who are you, where are you from and how did you start your journey as a freelancer?

I am French and I live in the north of France. I have completed an engineering training in computer science with a specialization in networks. Until 2013, I worked successively as an employee of an IT services company and an “end-user” company of IT. This allowed me to gain experience both in providing IT services and in consuming these same services.

During these experiences, especially as an employee of a services company, I always felt the desire to be my own boss and offer my services as an independent contractor. However, I thought I did not have the necessary criteria for success in this field such as experience, a distinctive specialization, and a network of contacts. Until 2013, when I decided to take the plunge, taking advantage of a desire to open a new chapter in my professional life and a great opportunity that presented itself.

How did you hear about N2, and since you joined, what are the main benefits you’ve seen?

In 2020, as I was considering a mission change, I was connected with Nicolas Delaby. We had a conversation, and Nicolas told me about N2, its concept, and its values. I quickly felt aligned with his description and therefore joined the collective.

Thanks to N2, I have access to numerous ServiceNow experts who are ready to answer my questions about the modules I am less familiar with, in order to better serve my clients. I am no longer alone! I now have dozens of experts by my side, ready to provide me with their help, experience, advice, and share mission opportunities in many countries.

Can you share a concrete experience of a project or collaboration you’ve experienced within the N2 community?

For the past two years, I have been working on ServiceNow projects for North American clients through a Canadian company that N2 connected me with.

What makes the N2 community different from other freelance networks?

Our values of mutual aid and sharing.

What advice would you give to someone interested in joining the N2 community?
